Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ through KARTET’s website
www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in. The candidate should supply all
details while filling the Online Form and upload their scanned images
of photograph & signature. After successful submission of data,
Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated
Confirmation Page with Registration Number and address slip.

Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:
• Candidate should have a scanned image of his latest photograph and
signature in JPG format only, for uploading while submitting his online
application.
• Decide the mode of payment of fee:
a) Through any branch of State Bank of Mysore directly in CAC
Account with downloading the Challan Form from the KARTET
website www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in
b) After Depositing Fee in the Bank the Deposit Slip bearing
Application Registration Number, Name and Address of the
Bank Branch with Branch Code with Pin Code where fee is
deposited and transaction ID number be kept ready with you
while logging on to website for final submission of Part-III of the
Application Form.
 ELIGIBILITY
The following persons are eligible for appearing in the KARTET.
Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary
Stage – Paper – I
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and
passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary
Education (by whatever name known)
OR
PUC / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and
passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary
Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed
or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special
Education)*.

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI- VIII:
Elementary Stage – Paper – II
B.A / B.Sc Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma
in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Applications are invited strictly ONLINE by logging on to Board of Secondary
Education web site www.bseodisha.nic.in from the intending eligible candidates, to appear
at the 2nd OTET 2013 as per the terms and conditions given below:

ELIGIBILITY
1. Candidates having the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible for
appearing at 2nd OTET 2013, as specified in Resolution No.14302/ SME/
Dt.04.06.2012 and letter No.23860/SME Dt.21.10.2013 of Govt. in School &
Mass Education Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.
FOR CATEGORY –A (PAPER-I) i.e. -
Higher Secondary (+2 or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years
Diploma in Elementary Education / 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education)
approved by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India)/ Graduation with 2 years Diploma
in Elementary Education / 2 years Diploma in Special Education approved by RCI.
FOR CATEGORY –B (PAPER-II)
Graduation with at least 50% marks with 1 year Bachelor‟s Degree in Education
(B.Ed.)/ 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education) approved by RCI/Higher Secondary (+2 or
equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed. (integrated
course).
Provided that relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks in +2 or at the graduation level, as
the case may be; shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ SEBC
category.
Provided further that candidates who have secured minimum marks in +2 or
graduation level, as the case may be; as prescribed at the time of admission into
Teacher Education Course; shall also be eligible to appear at 2nd OTET 2013.
(II) Candidates who are pursuing (Final Year) of any of the teacher education
courses (recognized by NCTE or by the RCI as the case may be) specified
above, in both the categories; can also appear at 2nd OTET 2013.
(III) UNTRAINED CANDIDATES :

Untrained candidates, ONLY belonging to SC, ST & PH category having required percentage of marks (5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks in +2 or Graduation Level as the case may be, for the candidates belonging to SC, ST categories) shall be eligible. THIS IS INTENDED TO FACILITATE BETTER OPPORTUNITY TO SC, ST & PH CANDIDATES AND THIS DOES NOT GIVE THEM ANY ENTITLEMENT / RIGHT FOR ENGAGEMENT.
(IV) Candidates eligible to apply under category –„B‟ of the State‟s guide line (Resolution No.14302/SME/Dt.04.06.2012), shall not be eligible to apply under category-A.
HOW TO APPLY :
Application should be submitted strictly ONLINE by logging on to Board of Secondary Education , Odisha, Cuttack website http://http://bseodisha.nic.in/ and click on “OTET 2013” and subsequently enter relevant paper (Paper-I or Paper-II). Application will not be accepted through any other mode. The website will be kept open from 03.01.2014 and close on 17.01.2014 at 23.59 hrs for submission of online application form. Candidates are allowed to apply only once and applications once submitted cannot be altered under any circumstances. Candidates are required to possess a valid e-mail ID and mobile number, which is to be entered in the Application form, so that intimation regarding downloading of Hall Ticket for Written Test can be sent. Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will not be responsible for bouncing / loss of any e-mail sent to the candidates, due to invalid/ wrong email ID provided by the candidate or for delivery of e-mail to spam/ bulk mail folder or for delay/ non receipt of information, if the candidate fails to access his/her mail/ website in time. However, necessary information will be hoisted on Board of Secondary Education, Odisha website from time to time. Candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 350/- (Rupees Three Hundred Fifty) only through SBI Challan generated from the web site or Online. I INSTRUCTION TO FILL-UP THE ANSWER SHEET
1.This instruction manual contains details pertaining to various aspects of the examination you are going to take and important instructions about the related matters.
The assessment of answersheets will be done by a computerized machine, hence you should carefully read instructio
ns regarding handling of the answersheet and the method of giving answers.
You are advised to study this instruction manual carefully as it will help you in preparing for the examination.
2.Before appearing for the written examination you should strictly ensure yourself that you fulfill the eligibility criteria stipulated by the Deptt. of Education in all respects.
3.Please note that since this is a competitive examination, mere passing is not adequate, you have to obtain a high rank in the order of merit to gain higher weightage, you should therefore, put in your best effort in the examination.

PRIMARY TEACHER’S ELIGIBILTY TEST (TET) RESULTS 2012-13 Published BY WEST BENGAL BOARD OF PRIMARY EDUCATION

West Bengal Board of Primary Education in terms of the Order of the Department of School Education No. 409(19)-SSE/2012, Dated :19-10-2012 .

The TET Examination was held on a single day throughout West Bengal on 31-03-2013 for recruitment of primary teachers in West Bengal.

Maximum marks for the test was : 100. Qualifying Marks : 60 ( 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC(A), OBC(B), PH and Exempted Category candidates as per Rules ).
