Tripura is witnessing political battle between the arch rivals Congress and CPI (M) for 60-member AssemblyHouse today.

Polling in left ruler Tripura for the state assembly election ended peacefully today with more than 85 percent voters casting their ballots.

Over 85 percent of the 23.5 lakh (2.35 million) voters have casted their votes across the state.

The CPI (M) hopes to cash in on Manik Sarkar’s clean image in the assembly polls. The Congress, which is out of power in the state for the last two decades, is striving hard to win the red bastion of CPI (M)
